Respite Care

Growing older can be a struggle but it is not a struggle you need to face alone or without dignity. Artman Lutheran Home understands the many transitions of aging and the challenges older adults and their family members may face. Our Personal Care Respite Program provides planned, short-term and time-limited breaks for caregivers and a nurturing environment for older adults who require assistance and support.

We know that you have your own individual needs, which is why the length of a respite stay at Artman will differ for each person. Nevertheless, we request a minimum stay of 5 nights and a maximum stay of 30 days. Medical insurance, including Medicare and Blue Cross, generally does not cover the costs associated with respite care; however, long term care policies may subsidize your costs.

All of our available accommodations are furnished for you and include bedding. We encourage you to bring your favorite photographs or other special comforts from your home to make your stay even more personal and soothing.

Although you will only be remaining with us for a short time, you will receive the same services as our Personal Care residents. If you are joining us following a hospital stay and require nursing and therapy services, Liberty at Home is able to provide these during your stay at Artman.

In the event you should require emergency care during your stay, our professional nursing staff will immediately consult with your doctor, who will have completed an extensive history on your medical background prior to your stay with us. Therefore, rest assured you will be provided with the best assistance that is tailored to your needs right away.
